Typical Installation G

This garden had been pre-designed to accommodate the track.
The main garden base gravel is 20mm (3/4") diameter
Track used Aristocraft

Track Bed Costs (track not incl.)
Cost
4 Paving Bricks
£0.81
2 bags of 10mm (3/8") gravel
£2.24
4 Fleximounts
£18.00
Total
£21.05
Just over 4 meters of track bed constructed for just £21+ with no concrete or wood involved & all materials reusable. Ballast depth approximately 25mm (1")
1. Track is temporarily laid to work out the route
Aristocraft track is assembled using the rail jointing fixings which come already supplied.
This makes a fixed route, ideal for Fleximounts

2. The existing gravel is banked to clear a track route.
4 Fleximounts are screwed to 4 bricks. 2 of the paving bricks are sunken in the path area making sure top of the rail is level with the path. This method also helps maintains the brick width across the path.
The other 2 paving bricks are submerged in the 20mm gravel.

The Fleximounts spacing's (red dot) are on average 1200mm (4'-0") centers.
Note all the Fleximount remain locked.

3. Smaller 10mm (3/8") gravel is tampered gently and soaked on the route. Track need only just sit on the gravel. 4. Now all the work is complete, the path is open for foot passengers., Note that they have been trained not to walk on the track
5. This section is complete but all the Fleximounts are still locked until the whole layout is finished
